The locked copy
Supervision is a reading. A lecturer reads the paper, forms a view, and writes back. That only works if the text they read is the text the authors left in place.
So Tolayda has two ways to share, and they do different things.
Invite to edit is for classmates. Someone at the same university joins the translation and works on it live. Edit history records each change to a heading, paragraph, caption, or table cell.
Share with a lecturer is a read-only link. While that link is open, the paper is locked. Nobody edits it, the authors included. Editing waits until the link is removed.
The lock is deliberate. Without it, a lecturer could comment on a paragraph that has since changed, and nobody would be sure which version was read. With it, the lecturer and the authors are looking at the same page.
The lock also says something about where decisions sit. The author decides when the English is ready. Supervision stays with the lecturer. A grade stays with the assessor. Tolayda carries the paper between them and keeps out of the judgement.
The full sharing model is on the product page. What happens to a paper once it is uploaded is on the about page.
